Quality Control

This is one of the most important factors starting from the Raw materials to finished goods. In order to maintain good quality acceptance in the market, Inspection at every stage is carried out. In addition to the inspection, by in house quality control section, wise/order wise.

Unit is committed to maintain high level of quality standard of its all products.

Raw material will be checked for Dia, Weight Surface finish, Grade of materials, physical and chemical compositions.

The quality check and quality control is an absolute necessity and the most important function in manufacturing process and at all the manufacturing stages adhere to strict quality control procedures. And will adhere to Specifications and standards of IS - BIS – B.S. – DIN – ASTM – JIS etc…ges, and other content.

Quality Assurance Plan

Raw Material

  •   One random Pcs to be sent to Govt approved Lab for chemical test.
  •   On receipt of positive confirmation material color code (Green) put on each rod.


    • Operational Stage for Hex Head Bolt / Stud

  •    Parting: - Rod cut to require length with 45o Chamfers at both end.
  •    Measuring: - Measuring length chamfer to chamfer by Vernier Caliper.
  •    Forging: - Each Pcs forge as per size & dimension. Check by Vernier Caliper.
  •   Machining: - Each Pcs is pass through machining process and remove extra material from product. Check by Vernier Caliper & by Micrometer.
  •   OD Grinding: - Each Pcs grind to maintain pitch dia. Check by Go Nogo Plain Ring Gauge & Micrometer.
  •    Material Identification: - Each Pcs will be mark with material grade and manufacturer identification. Check Visually.
  •    Threading: Each Pcs will be threaded as per sizes and length. Check by Micrometer, Go Nogo Ring Gauge.


    • Operational Stage for Hex Nut

  •   Parting: - Rod cut to require length.
  •    Measuring: - Measuring length check by Vernier Caliper.
  •    Forging: - Each Pcs forge as per size & dimension. Check by Vernier Caliper.
  •   Machining: - Each Pcs is pass through machining process and remove extra material from Nut and maintain dimensions. Check by Vernier Caliper.
  •   Drilling: - Each Pcs drilled to maintain pitch dia. Check by Go Nogo plain plug gauge.
  •    Material Identification: - Each Pcs will be mark with material grade and manufacturer identification. Check Visually.
  •   Tapping: Each Pcs will be tapped as per sizes. Check by Go Nogo Plug Thread Gauge.


    • Hardening & Tempering

  • Material passed through hardening as per require degree with Shekar hearth Furness OR with Salt Bath.
  •    Material tempered with tempering Furness as per require degree.
  •   Material quench with cooling media like Air, Water OR Oil Media as per requirement.


    • Physical Properties

  • Fastener checked and passed through Tensile Test for Hex Bolt / Stud and Proof Load Test for Hex Nut to match require physical property, fitness and class.
  • Hardness Test to be done with Rockwell Hardness Tester by diamond point to measure HRC.


    • Type of Check

  • Visual.
  •    Dimensions and Drawings.
  •   Chemical & Mechanical.
  •   Punching Check.
  •    Measuring devises through different types of instruments and gauges.


    • Quantum Check

  • Visual.
  •    Lot wise random testing.
  •   At least 20% OR 100% specified by client.


    • Packing

  • Visual.
  •    Each Bolt / Stud & Nut is packed in proper condition with LDPE / Jute bag.
  •   Packing is followed as per given instruction by client, if any.


    • Acceptance Norms

  •   Visual.
  •    Relevant specifications and standards.
  •   ASTM / ANSI and according to specific grade and specification.
  •    Reference document; as per code confirming of Metric / INCH series.


    • Forms of Records

  •    Internal dimensional measuring report.
  •    Internal & External chemical & physical testing report.
  •    Final visual inspection report.
  •    Packing Slips and Inspection Note.


    • Witnessing Agency

  •    Self.
  •    Company’s Quality Control Incharge.
  •    TPI: - Third Party Inspection, Client / Consultant
